Special Town Board Meeting Minutes

 

1. Call to order by Chairman Sotka
Chairman Sotka called the meeting to order at 6:55pm

2. Roll Call
Sotka ___p___ Burmek ___p___ Hanson ___p___ Wilson ___p___

3. Approval of agenda
Supervisor Hanson made a motion to approve the agenda. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried 3-0

4. Discussion & possible action on fire department organizational restructuring & operations
Chairman Sotak informed the fire department members in attendance that Jim Sanborn had been appointed Fire Chief. The fire department and members of the audience asked new Chief Sanborn questions. A resident brought up his concerns over turnout gear and its expiration. Previous Chief Gilbert expressed the need for the community to reach out to the state legislators regarding small volunteer department expectations. A resident suggested inviting Jeff Mursau to a meeting. A resident expressed concerns that the budget for the fire department is too low.

5. Adjourn
Supervisor Hanson made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:27pm. Seconded by Supervisor Burmek. Carried
